Itchoua Essay In the story of The Three Skeleton Key written by George G. Toudouze it shows many petrifying experiences happening to the characters. Itchoua is a brave, strong Basque who visited an island just off the coast of Guiana for a couple of months. During his visit on the island, Itchoua and his friends faced many dangers and took life threatening risks. He shows many character traits of bravery through his physical description, personality and his actions toward many things. During his act of bravery, he went through many obstacles and hardships while battling the rats. He is a very heroic battler because of what he thinks, says and does in the story of Three Skeleton Key. All the risks Itchoua took while going through danger shows hes brave by his personality, physical description and his actions. Firstly, Itchoua is a brave veteran who overcame many terrifying experiences while fighting with many vicious rats. Throughout the story, Itchoua proved that he was brave by putting his life at risk for the safety of his friends, persevered even though he was unconsicous and that he has characteristics of a leader. When the chief cried, Itchoua ran immediately not thinking at all and went to help his friend at risk. He sacrificed his life to help his friends from the dangerous rats. He cared for his friends and never only thought about himself. He did what ever he could for the safety of his friends. He used all his strength by trying to kill as many rats as possible and never gave up. He shows hes brave by fighting against the rats for his friends safety with the help of his friends at his side. He persevered even though he had blood dripping throughout his body. He didnt give up because he was brave to withstand the forces of the rats. He battled and battled not stopping even though he became unconsious. Itchoua is a leader because he told every one what to do from preventing the rats to do more damage. He took charge of the intense situation at the time. He told the people to go down the stairs, shut all the windows tightly, turn off the lamplight on the lighthouse. All these qualities he has shown while going through danger is because of his unique personality. Secondly, Itchoua shows signs of bravery by his physical description. He is very strong and brave because of the blood trickling from his body, his rat wounds and because he was unconscious. Itchoua shows he is brave by the blood trickling from his body because he is able to keep going even though he is really hurt. He doesnt give up, he is brave to stay alive and to keep battling. The rat wounds on his body were a sign of bravery to Itchoua. Those rat bites were dangerous in the very hot, dry climate in which infection is transmitted very rapidly. Even through these cirumstances, hes still brave to fight through these situations. He takes risks by battling the rats in which it has many outcomes like being hospitalized for months, becoming mental, handicapped or maybe itll even lead to death. He knew these outcomes would arise when battling the rats, he was still brave enough to give his all and not to give up. Itchoua shows signs of bravery when he became unconscious. When he became unconscious, he still stood up with all his might. He was brave to finish what the rats started and never quit. He showed he was brave by standing up to this battle with no fear at all. He was brave and fearless of the risks he took in many situations because of his physical description. Thirdly, he shows acts of bravery by his actions toward many of his petrifying experiences with the rats. Itchoua went through many hazardous situations throughout the story. EssayItchoua is very brave to strike the rats down with knives and then retreat. He attacked them with all his strength even though he was bitten a lot by the rats. He had the courage to fight against the rats by using his knives to kill the innumberable amount of rats. Itchoua jeopardized his life and struck the rats which shows hes very brave and courageous. He was brave to sit up while blood was trickling from the wounds on his legs and body which he started running on the floor surrounding him. He persued the safety of many people at risk while trying to create a signal to the ship. He was brave to make a signal by lighting the lighthouse and avoid danger from more rats attacking him and his friends. This act of bravery was very heroic because he tried to bring as much help as possible by creating a signal. After a while, a crew came with a whole barge of meat which was a plan to destroy the rest of the rats. Itchoua took many risks in danger, endangered his life in many acts of bravery by his heroic actions.
